Services

Skype is a communications application that provides video chat and voice calls between computers, tablets, mobile devices, the Xbox One console, and smart watches over the Internet. Skype also provides instant messaging, allowing users to transmit text, video, audio and images. Skype also allows video conference calls.

Price

Calling Skype contacts on Skype is always free, but Skype also enables a user to call a mobile phone or landline through Skype. These calls require Skype Credits or a Skype to Phone subscription. Below are the links explaining the pricing for each. For each link, the terms for the plans are presented before check out and each set of terms state that charges are recurring, when the user will be charged and when the user should cancel the service to avoid a renewal charge.

Duration, renewal and termination

No minimum contract duration for Skype services that do not involve calling to or from a telephone number. Skype to Phone and Skype Number subscriptions are offered under 1, 3 or 12 month plans. These subscriptions automatically recur but can be cancelled without a fee at any time up to three days before the next recurring date. Any cancellation in the three day period before an upcoming recurrence date will be applied to the following renewal period.
